Properties: Piperonyl butoxide(PBO) is a Glycolether and increases as a synergist the insecticide potency of Pyrethroides (e.g. Permethrin, Cypermethrin) by the factor of 3 to 10. Piperonyl butoxide(PBO) is in sprays, oils, emulsions or in powders as synergist in various house hold biocides / insecticides in trade.

Usage:The Piperonyl butoxide(PBO) blocks in the body of the insects the detoxication of the adsorbed insecticides. The insecticide activity of Pyrethrum will be increased by the factor of approx. 30 when Piperonyl butoxide(PBO) is added. In combination with insecticides Piperonyl butoxide(PBO) can kill e.g. crab louse,
